The state auditors delivered a long list of remarks for the 2021 Budget of the municipality of Tetovo. Lack of transparency, non-realization of capital expenditures and tax revenues, writes Portalb.
According to the data, this municipality is one of the most indebted in the country. In the municipal treasury of Tetovo, the situation is alarming in terms of capital revenues, which were realized by only 16.8%, but there is also a shortfall in tax and non-tax revenues, the auditors note. In the analyzed 2021, transfers and subsidies in the amount of 2.2 million euros were added to the treasury of the municipality, which is 30% less than planned.
“At the end of 2021, according to the accounting records of the municipality, outstanding obligations for which there are enforceable court decisions in the amount of 4.5 million euros have been recorded,” reads the auditors’ report.
