Based on the finalized ranking lists for the first and second applications for enrollment in high school for the academic year 2023/24, a total of 15,481 students were enrolled, the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) informs.
Of these, 11,325 students will attend lessons in Macedonian, 3,852 in Albanian, 298 in Turkish and 6 in Serbian language. 4,603 are enrolled in high school education, and 10,277 in vocational education. 187 enrolled in art education, and 414 in sports gymnasium.
The Skopje high schools “Josip Broz Tito”, “Orce Nikolov” and “Rade Jovchevski-Korchagin” were not filled even in the second enrollment period for the school year 2023/2024. The competition has been completed only for “Nikola Karev” and “Georgi Dimitrov” in Skopje.
