Center for Public Health offers recommendations to citizens on how to behave in extremely high temperatures

The Ohrid Public Health Center addressed the public with recommendations for citizens, guests and tourists for their protection from the heat wave and high temperatures that affected the region.

The Health Center urges people to avoid going outside in the period from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and that citizens should complete the necessary tasks before 10 a.m. or after 5 p.m. During the hottest period of the day, avoid strenuous physical activities, including sports and recreational activities, sit in closed air-conditioned rooms, with closed windows and blinds during the day. During a necessary stay in an open space, to avoid direct exposure to the sun, with more frequent rests in the shade. The center also advises people to wear bright and light clothes, mostly made of natural fabrics (cotton, linen), to put on protective sunglasses and wear a hat.
