The trial against Ilija Spaseski from Ohrid, accused of assaulting fellow citizen Hristijan Pendikov, was postponed for the second time Wednesday because the accused did not appear at the court hearing due to health reasons.
The defendant’s attorney Dimitrija Coboski presented to the court a report from a specialist dated yesterday (July 11), with a diagnosis of thrombophlebitis, i.e. inflammation of the veins, for which Spaseski was prescribed 15 days of therapy and home treatment.
The lawyer asked the court to lift the ban on his client leaving the country so that he could receive medical treatment abroad, but the judge rejected the request. This is the second hearing in a row that has been postponed.
