Greek media claim that the Macedonian OTA illegally owns and uses the controversial “Predator” software for monitoring internet activities. It has the capacity to monitor all internet activities of all citizens in Macedonia, and even NATO considers it problematic, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release on Wednesday.
“Scandals broke out with the wiretapping of opposition politicians with this very software, so the logical question is whether it was used by OTA, for the Government or anyone else to monitor citizens. Dimitar Kovachevski replied that Predator was not used in Macedonia. Greek media claim otherwise, and the Government, the Ministry of Interior and OTA are stubbornly silent and change the topic,” said the largest opposition party.
