The average monthly net salary paid per employee in May 2023 was MKD 36,465 and it is higher by 16.1 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase adds up to MKD 5,058.
According to the State Statistics Office (SSO), this increase is primarily due to the increase in the average monthly net salary paid per employee in the sectors: Administrative and auxiliary service activities (25.5%), Professional, scientific and technical activities (21.4%) and Financial and insurance activities (18.8%).
