Currently, there is a person who is considered a person close to the ruling DUI who enters with a stake as a concessionaire, and after only 15 days the Administrative Court makes a decision to annul the decision to terminate the concession, indicated the spokesperson of the opposition VMRO-DPMNE Marija Miteva.
Miteva pointed out that the topic related to the Ilovica mine is another proof that this coalition of SDSM and DUI is nothing but just a business deal coalition.
“After the citizens revolted and it became clear that the Government gave approval for the merger of the concessions, and hoping that it would pass away from the eyes of the citizens, they tried to say that VMRO-DPMNE gave a concession. We had to explain the truth and that this concession was originally given by the government of SDSM and DUI from 2006, 17 years later, they still want this deal,” Miteva said.
The opposition spokesperson asked why the Government gave permission to a businessman close to DUI to enter the ownership share of the mine, even though it could have prevented it, and whether the businessman’s company has submitted an environmental protection study to the competent ministry.
