Lukarevska: Solidarity Tax to cover 200 firms, EUR 77 million expected to flow into budget

Public Revenue Office (PRO) director Sanja Lukarevska said Tuesday that the solidarity tax should cover about 200 companies, and the estimates are based on PRO analyses according to the tax balances that companies have submitted to PRO.
“We are talking about comparative data, 2022, 2021, etc. Around EUR 76-77 million would flow into the budget through this one-off solidarity contribution,” Lukarevska said at Tuesday’s press conference on a deal reached to increase the wages of PRO employees.
As regards the activities of the companies that will be covered by the solidarity tax, and whether they are related only to energy and those that have made higher profits during the energy crisis, The PRO head said it was for a longer period.
