The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned Thursday’s incidents in Skopje resulting in Bulgarian nationals, fans of Levski football club, being injured, one of whom severely.
The MFA said in Friday’s press release that the injured Bulgarian national is currently in stable position and recovering in a Skopje hospital. Representatives of the Bulgarian Embassy are in constant communication with the person and his family, as well as the local health authorities.
Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will respond to the official Sofia, adding that the events of July 27 are the work of hooligans and people who have nothing to do with sports.
There were additional reactions from the political parties. The party of former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov announced that it will demand an account from the Macedonian ambassador in Sofia.
