Facebook post by Cvetan Tripunovski, president of the Republican Commission for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management:
“The farmers are protesting because of the lack of water for irrigation of about 1000 hectares of agricultural land in a situation where the Kalimanci dam is full to overflowing. An additional reason for the protest is the fact that PE Vodostopanstvo will increase the price of irrigation water by over 70%, and the water does not reach the farmers in the field.
This is just another proof of the negligence of the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry & Water for the Macedonian farmers.”
