The EVN electricity supply company turns off electricity in all settlements in Macedonia after only two unpaid bills. This is not the case with Slupchane. Millions of debts are allowed there, and no one has taken measures. The drama in Slupchane continues, and it is obviously the result of corruption, crime, and the entrepreneurial spirit of young people carrying Ahmeti or Grubi as their last name.
“Hence, in a situation like this, in which the residents of a settlement did not pay for electricity for so long, a series of dilemmas opens up, and the authorities must answer a series of questions,” VMRO-DPMNE said.
“First, the DUI Government and the smaller coalition partner SDSM and the Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, must say what was agreed in Slupchane regarding the payment of electricity bills,” said the opposition party.
