The Socialist Party of Macedonia (SPM) notes the lack of reaction of the Government to the demands of pensioners for higher pensions who protested in extremely high temperatures due to the inability to survive and cover basic needs.
“The Government constantly falsely boasts about successful policies, but forgets especially about the pensioners who live on the edge of existence while inflation continues to impoverish them, destroying their basic human dignity. The pension growth model must be changed and indexation of growth with inflation as well as salary growth must be ensured. In that way, a basis for a real increase in pensions will be achieved,” SPM pointed out.
