Academician Victor Friedman wins the World Prize for Humanism

Professor Dr. Victor Friedman from the University of Chicago, USA, one of the greatest American and world celebrants, is the recipient of the World Humanism Prize for 2023. The award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, August 9, at the MANU’s Uranija House in Ohrid.
As announced, appropriate speeches for Friedman will be given by the president of the Ohrid Academy of Humanism, Jordan Plevnesh and the mayor of Ohrid, Kiril Pecakov, who will present the prize to the winner, in the presence of an international assembly of guests, including representatives and mayors from the sister cities of Ohrid from Europe and cities under the patronage of UNESCO. Laureate Victor Friedman will also address the audience.
