The group for meat production and meat processing with the Economic Chamber demands from the Government to reduce the import duties for raw materials for meat processing and to ensure the same treatment with the importing companies, otherwise it announces the closing of the facilities or their relocation to the region.
“You must urgently enact a new extension of the measure or some kind of permanent legal solution to reduce the tariff on frozen pork intended for processing and urgently establish equal conditions of control and rules of the game for all market participants whether domestic or imported, said Goce Trajchev, the head of the Group for the production of meat and meat processing at a press conference on Monday.
