This year saw a record number of 427 applications for new investment projects, and 289 new contracts were concluded with planned investments of €366 million, that will create 4,439 new jobs, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi said on Tuesday.
“The companies are: from the food processing industry – 63 companies, from the metal processing industry – 73 companies, the ICT industry – 21 companies, the wood industry and furniture production 87 companies, the pharmaceutical industry – 20 companies and the textile and leather processing industry – 25 companies. They will create 4,439 new jobs. With this, the contracts for financial support of investments increase to a total of 919, of which 204 have been completed. It says that the Government through measures is successfully creating a business environment, predictable and stimulating for companies,” said Bytyqi.
