If there really was a reason for ambassador Ljubomir Frchkoski not to return the money, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and President Stevo Pendarovski knew about it, why did the MFA send him instructions twice within six months to return the funds to the state budget, VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Naum Stoilkovski told a press briefing on Thursday.
“Did Filip Tosevski, the state secretary in the MFA, not know that Frchkoski could not return the money, so he sent him instructions? Tosevski is the head of the SDS party commission for foreign affairs. Did Tosevski not know after December in March, so he signed instructions until June for Frchkoski to return the money? And why are these instructions about the money at Frchkoski signed by Tosevski, from the position of State Secretary, when such instructions are signed by the Director of the Directorate for Organizational Affairs and that is a standard in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs?” asked Stoilkovski, and stressed that “the matter is much deeper than they show it”.
President Pendarovski’s Office replied Wednesday that another 600,000 dollars is expected to be paid soon from the sale of the SFRY property in New York, which belonged to Macedonia.
