Macedonian Defense Minister Slavjanka Petrovska in a Wednesday interview with Kanal 5 said that she proposed army troops be sent to Slovenia without hesitation, just as in the case of the catastrophic earthquakes in Turkey.
“There was no hesitation on my part as minister to propose to the Government, the Supreme Commander and Army Chief of Staff that we need to offer help for the floods in Slovenia. Not because we are a member of NATO, but because solidarity and allyship is what that the Army is known for. Whenever anyone needs help or any kind of support, the Army is here to help,” Petrovska said.
The minister said recent photos shared with the public by army members who were helping in Slovenia made the entire country proud.
