Our Army made a huge contribution and help during the natural disasters that affected our partner countries – the earthquakes in Turkey, the floods in Slovenia, and stood in support of the Ukrainian people. The highest recognition for the members of the Army is not the orders and medals, but the honor that the Macedonian citizens have in them. The army is the guardian of everything that holds the Macedonian society together, Minister of Defense SlavjankaPetrovska said Friday on the observation of August 18 – Army Day.

The defense budget in 2023 was 1.85 percent from the GDP and 24 percent larger compared to 2022.
