As of September, there will be a new increase in the price of bread – if the state does not help. The high prices of wheat on the world markets, after Russia’s exit from the Agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain, are pushing for an increase in the price, says the bakery industry. That is why they demand that the state protect citizens from new price increases and help businesses.
“Since the end of July, after Russia’s withdrawal from the Agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain, prices on the stock exchanges have increased by 10 to 15%. Also, the rise of dairy and meat products has a role, because these products also participate in the bakery industry. The situation is carefully monitored and each producer determines whether he will raise prices or sell at the same prices,” said president of the Agro Business Chamber Goran Gjorgievski.
