The realization of any civil right will not be called into question if the personal documents are not changed in time, said the Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski on Wednesday.

When asked if it will be possible to vote with the old personal documents in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections, Spasovski said that now that question is not being asked at all.

Regarding the opinion expressed yesterday by the ombudsman that personal documents with the addition “North” should be borne by the state budget, the minister said that for now there is no such decision.

According to the provisions of the Prespa Agreement, all citizens as of February 2024 should change their personal documents, which must include the new constitutional name of the country.
