The Kosovo police, in cooperation with the Macedonian police, detained Alil Demiri based on an international warrant issued by the Ministry of Interior of N. Macedonia. He is wanted for terrorism provided for in Article 394 of the Criminal Code, in connection with the five-fold gruesome murder at Lake Smilkovo.
According to the information provided by the Kosovo police, he will be brought before a competent judge.
After the massacre on April 12, 2012, Alil Demiri and Afrim Ismailovikj fled to Kosovo, and until now Kosovo has repeatedly refused to extradite them to N. Macedonia.
