Ombudsman NaserZiberi told Alfa TV that citizens who have a valid ID card should not pay for a new one just because of the new constitutional name, but it should be paid for from the state budget.
“Issuance and replacement of personal documents is an obligation imposed by the Government. Since the replacement of the documents is also the Government’s decision, the citizens must not be exposed to additional expenses because the replacement is not their fault”, Ombudsman Ziberi said.
