The State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) will open a case related to the company Eurovia, which won the tender of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), worth 1.8 million euros.
“At today’s collegium, the DCSC determined that in this particular case there are elements for the competent action of the commission in terms of materiality, as it involves high amounts, but also risks for political connections,” said the SCPC head Biljana Ivanovska, reports Telma TV.
The opening of a case by the SCPC comes after the published information to the public that Eurovia won a tender of 1.5 million euros without VAT to adapt the “Boris Trajkovski” sports hall for the OSCE ministerial meeting in November and December. But last year it had current deals with the state and municipalities, and according to publicly published data, the same year the company donated 1.8 million denars to the political party DUI, and one of the owners, Elmedin Ademi, donated 2.5 million denars.
