According to the data of the State Statistics Office (SSO), in the second quarter of 2023, 4,019 babies were born alive and compared to the same period of the previous year, their number decreased by 8.9%.
The number of people who died in the second quarter of this year recorded a decrease of 0.5% compared to the same quarter last year, that is, 4,730 people died, and six of them were infants.
The natural increase is negative, – 711 people, that is, the number of live births is less than the number of dead people by that many people.
