An inmate convicted of murder has been arrested after escaping from prison, police said on Thursday.
As the Ministry of Interior announced, today (August 31) around 8 a.m., police officers from the Department of Criminal Police-Sector for Illicit Trafficking in Drugs and Arms and the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit “Tiger” detained S.A. (34) from Arachinovo, who escaped from the Idrizovo state penitentiary, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the crime of murder.
On the Friendship highway, after previously received operational information, a Ford vehicle was stopped, driven by B.R. (47) from Arachinovo, who is also a convict serving a prison sentence in theIdrizovo prison, but was hired to work outside the prison.
