We have a positive signal from the European Union, it is up to us how quickly and in what way we will join the EU. We have an obligation to adopt constitutional changes which means that it is up to us how quickly and in what way we join the EU. I lead the European coalition which states that by 2030 North Macedonia will become the first country from the Western Balkans to become an EU member, said SDSM leader and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski.
“There is no better example of different speeds. Now, if we do not make the necessary decisions, it will mean that Montenegro, Serbia and Albania will go before us and we will remain in the company of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo. Do we want to stay in that company?”, added the PM.
