We express great concern regarding the disturbing information presented in the media about alleged misuse of cytostatics at the Oncology and Radiotherapy Clinic, the Medical Chamber reacts after the Ministry of Interior and the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) Skopje entered this health facility Friday to conduct a search within the framework of pre-investigation.
“No patient in our country, especially oncology patients who are in a life-threatening condition, must at any time be put in a situation where the therapy provided by funds from the budget of the Health Fund is not available to them in full insurance or from the Ministry of Health, and even less for that therapy to be misused for the personal benefit of individuals,” said the Medical Chamber.
