Total Engineering Strumica, the construction company owned by businessman Vice Zaev, more than a week ago became the new owner of Bojana BS Panel, a company until then owned by BoroStojchev, known for having been arrested and convicted for smuggling cigarettes while he was mayor of the Municipality of Novo Selo.
The former mayor of Novo Selo from the ranks of SDSM, BoroStojchev, along with another natural person, founded the electricity production company Bojana Energy in March of last year.
In 2018, then-Mayor Stojchev, together with four other people, was caught trying to smuggle cigarettes near the Macedonian-Bulgarian border.
