Xhaferi: Session on constitutional changes to resume when conditions are created

The option of 20 MPs asking to schedule a new session does not obligate the Parliament Speaker to schedule the session, said Parliament Speaker TalatXhaferi regarding VMRO-DPMNE’s request for resumption of the session on the constitutional amendments.

He added that the 123rd session will continue when adequate conditions will be created.

MP Stojanovska said that the August 18 session was disrupted without an explanation, and asked Xhaferi to continue the session upon the request of 20 VMRO-DPMNE MPs, in accordance with Article 67, Item 2 of the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure.

According to LevicaMP DimitarApasiev, changes to the Constitution are made with special provisions and the business term does not depend on anyone’s will.

The Parliament Speaker interrupted the session on the constitutional amendments on August 18 with the information that there are no more registered for discussion, and the continuation, as Xhaferi said, will be additionally scheduled.
