Independent union of healthcare workers demands salary increase or threatens protests

A 30 percent pay rise for healthcare workers, a new collective agreement, seniority benefits for emergency medical, X-ray and psychiatric hospital employees, an increase in the infection allowance to 4 percent, and an immediate transformation of fixed-term contracts to open-ended contracts require The Independent Union of Health Professionals.

The National Coordinator of the Independent Union of Health Workers at the Confederation of Trade Union Organizations of Macedonia (KSOM), Bobi Bojchevski, indicated at today’s press conference that they are in contact with other health unions to organize a protest and if there is no response to their demands after September 20 , they will stage protests.
