Macedonian Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, announced Thursday that he met with the representatives of the largest eight market chains and that they accepted his announcement that from Tuesday, by decision of the Government, there will be a price caps for certain products.
“Currently, the Ministry of Economy is working on additional measures that will apply to distributors and manufacturers. I should probably meet with them tomorrow,” Bekteshi told the media.
The minister expects the products, which will be announced on Tuesday at a regular government session, to become cheaper by 10 percent from Wednesday. It is about 50 basic products, and the reference prices for reduction will be, as he said, some of the previous months when it was more affordable for citizens.
