COVID-19 cases on the rise, Infections Diseases Commission to hold a meeting

One COVID-19 death was registered in August in Macedonia, and 112 cases were reported as newly infected. According to the report published by the Institute of Public Health, an increase in the number of reported cases of covid-19 was registered by 4.6 times more than in July 2023 (n=23), and compared to August 2022 (n=12,354) a drop in positive cases was registered.

Six people are currently hospitalized at the Infectious Diseases Clinic, and according to information, they are currently in good condition.

As soon as Wednesday or Thursday, the Commission for Infectious Diseases will hold a formal meeting where the situation in the country, in the region and in the world will be discussed.
