Thirty-four new cases of HIV/AIDS in eight months

In August alone, eight cases of HIV/AIDS were reported in the Institute of Public Health, of which 3 persons are foreign citizens with temporary residence in N. Macedonia. Of the reported persons, 6 are male and 2 are female.

No deaths from HIV/AIDS were registered during the month of August. According to the existing record of reported cases (as of 31.08.2023), the cumulative number of persons registered with HIV/AIDS in N. Macedonia, for the period 1987-2023, is 620, namely: 123 persons died, 497 persons are living with HIV/AIDS.
