In recent years, there has been no foreign investment in Macedonia, there is no policy to attract it, but despite this situation, there are still tenders for arranging the free economic zones which are vacant, pointed out VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Marija Miteva on Monday.

“This is an agreement between the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones and the company ZOBEK MINIMG GROUP DOOEL SKOPJE signed on August 25, 2023, which governs the mutual rights and obligations of the contracting parties in connection with the procurement of leveling plots in TIDZ Shtip. The contract is worth EUR 5,705,790. It is interesting that the above-named company has received ONLY 4 tenders in its history of the electronic public procurement system and ALL four tenders are from the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones. The company ZOBEK from the Directorate for Technological Industrial Zones has received two tenders in 2021, and one each in 2022 and 2023 in a total value of MKD 989,793,742, i.e. 16 million euros,” said Miteva.
