Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi has said the Government will propose Tuesday a law to correct wages of elected and appointed officials, with available funds to be reallocated in anti-crisis measures for the most vulnerable groups.
“A working group composed of four ministers is currently working on the anti-crisis measures. Tomorrow we will also present a law to correct wages of elected and appointed officials and thus free up more funds for anti-crisis measures for the most
vulnerable groups, because this is crucial in a time when everyone needs to show solidarity,” Bytyqi said in an interview with TV24’s “24 Analysis”.
The minimum wage law is a law that, Bytyqi said, must be respected in both the public and private sectors, and the next adjustment must take place in March, when the minimum wage will be adjusted to the rate of inflation and the growth of the average wage, while pensions are reconcile twice a year.
