Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said Tuesday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will extend a call to Macedonian nationals currently in Lebanon to leave the country due to the unpredictable situation.
“We will maybe issue an advisory later today to urge our nationals currently in Lebanon to leave the country due to the unpredictable situation there. They should be extremely cautious because North Macedonia has no diplomatic relations with Lebanon, it does not have an embassy there, so it would be very difficult to provide support if the situation worsens. Therefore, we want to advise our nationals in advance – those who are currently in Lebanon or planning to travel there – leave the country or postpone the trip,” said FM Osmani.
