SDS boycotted the Day of the Revolutionary Struggle of the Macedonian People. The Government spent October 23 without a major event to mark it, said VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Tuesday.
“Is the Government ashamed of the centuries-old revolutionary struggle of the Macedonian people, which resulted in today’s statehood, or are there other reasons?
October 23rd is the date and the point from which the organized struggle started, without October 23rd there would be no Ilinden 1903, nor ASNOM 1944, and without that there would be no independence of Macedonia. Hence, the fact that the Government boycotted the Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle as much as possible, and once again shows what the Government’s attitude towards the country and statehood is,” added the largest opposition party.
