Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi spoke at Thursday’s press briefing about the possible dates for scheduling presidential elections, as well as the deadlines. He shared three possible dates for the first and second round of the elections.

According to Xhaferi, no less than 70 days and no more than 90 days should pass from the day of scheduling the elections to the day of voting. Thus, if the first round of the presidential elections is held on March 14, then the announcement of the elections should be on January 4, 2024. If they are on April 24 in the first round and May 8 for the second round, then the call for elections will have to be on February 27, which provides at least 70 days until the elections.

Possible dates according to Xhaferi are: – First round: on March 14, March 28, April 11 and April 25. – Second round: March 28, April 11, April 25 and May 9 (a critical date because the inauguration will take place on May 12).
