Three nationals of N. Macedonia (a father and two children) safely left Gaza on Thursday. Accompanied by the Charge d’Affaires of the country’s Embassy in Cairo, Elma Altorok, they headed to the Egyptian capital, and from there to North Macedonia, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release Friday.
“The mother of the children, who has a Palestinian travel document, was also able to evacuate with them through the Rafah crossing. Two additional Macedonian nationals remain in Gaza, a married couple, who are included in the official evacuation lists, but their departure from Gaza depends on the circumstances on the ground, i.e., the security assessment about which part of the Gaza Strip is most impacted and requires an urgent evacuation of foreign nationals,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
