The Macedonian Minister of Justice Krenar Loga does not give up on the intention of passing the Amnesty Law for prisoners. At the next meeting of the Government on Tuesday, Lloga told Telma TV that he will ask for an explanation from the SDSM ministers for the vote against.

His announcement follows after the proposal to pass the Amnesty Law after a fast-track procedure failed to pass in Parliament on Thursday with 66 votes against, three abstentions and 17 votes in favor, which Lloga defended before the deputies with overcrowding in prisons and inhumane conditions. He expressed surprise at the decision of the SDSM MPs, and previously said that it was probably revenge for not voting for the amendments to the Criminal Code.
