The European Commission Report states that the Government is bypassing the Law on Public Procurement, and contracts are eating away at the system, VMRO-DPMNE points out in a press release on Friday.
“The EC notes that the authorities should introduce more effective anti-corruption measures throughout the procurement cycle. The EC Report clearly identifies the highway contract as problematic. It is clearly stated: The direct award of the contract for the construction of Corridors 8 and 10d raises concerns because it exempts the project from the application of the Law on Public Procurement.
Circumvention of the Public Procurement Law, unreformed administration and corrupt judiciary are bringing the country down. With SDS and DUI, Macedonia received the worst Report in its existence,” reads VMRO-DPMNE’s press release.
