In an interview with Republika.mk, the leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski, referring to the halt in the construction of the Kichevo-Ohrid highway, said that personal interests are behind the Kichevo-Ohrid road standstill, and he expected the prime minister to ask for answers from his minister, who also manages the construction sector.

“Once again, I see personal interests and attempts by Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi to do political gymnastics and calculations, but I don’t think they will succeed this time. I believe that in the absence of clear project management and many untruths, they were brought to such a situation as they were, so they announced the suspension of construction,” stressed Mickoski.

Asked for his opinion on the issue of the railways halt and the only train that went to Bitola was stopped and whether we are the only country in the region that does not have railways, Mickoski emphasized that one of the strategic policies of the future government will be infrastructure projects and the North-South high-speed railway with which the trains in Macedonia will travel at an average speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
