Bulgaria is the fifth most important trade partner of Macedonia and its second most important export destination. Bulgarian direct investments in the country amount to a total of 270 million euros, and in 2022, the annual trade between the two countries will exceed one billion euros, it was said at the meeting of the Macedonian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria with the business sector from both countries.
The commercial attache of the Bulgarian embassy, Krasimir Dragnev, informed that on December 7, a Bulgarian-Macedonian business forum is being held in Sofia at the initiative of the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries. A similar event was held last year in Skopje under the auspices of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria and N. Macedonia, Nikolai Milkov and Bujar Osmani, respectively.
