Many precedents have happened in this country in these last 7 years, this is a top precedent, VMRO-DPMNE MP Brane Petrushevski pointed out in connection with the case where he, as a Member of the Parliament, was convicted for an opinion expressed from the Parliament rostrum.
“I will not stop here, first of all, this is not about me personally, it is about principles for stifling freedom and democracy in Macedonia. In accordance with the Rules of Procedure, I will inform the Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi that I have been convicted without being deprived of my immunity and I will ask for his reaction because he is responsible for protecting the dignity and integrity of the Parliament and us, the MPs,” said Petrushevski.
“Then I am preparing a serious petition to the Republican Judicial Council, where I will demand the express dismissal of this judge. The verdict is also being translated and will be delivered to the European Commission, to all international and domestic institutions, and I will not allow me or any other MP to be silenced in this way,” the opposition MP added.
