Stoltenberg kicks off Western Balkan tour – to visit Skopje on Tuesday

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will travel to Sarajevo on Sunday – the first destination in his visit to four Western Balkan countries, as part of which he will arrive in Skopje on Tuesday. Apart from meetings with the leaders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia, and North Macedonia, during his tour the Secretary General will also meet with leaders of Allied countries from the region.
According to a NATO press release, Stoltenberg will kick off his tour of the region with a working dinner with the members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On Monday he will meet with the High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, as well as with the Chairlady of the country’s Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto. Stoltenberg will also visit the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, where he will meet with military leaders and representatives of the international community.
The Secretary General will arrive in Skopje Tuesday afternoon, where he will meet with President Stevo Pendarovski and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski. Stoltenberg will also meet Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi and address the Macedonian Parliament.
