The “Proud Flesh” scandal at the Oncology Clinic had brought to light the entire cancer mafia that was profiting off the backs of the most seriously ill in Macedonia. The Oncology clinic was in chaos. It was consciously allowed to have neither a software-like system, nor protocols, nor written records, all in order to manipulate the expensive therapy. Expensive therapy was carelessly procured from the government’s favorite wholesaler, without consultation with the Health Fund, thus accumulating a huge debt of the clinic to the supplier. At the same time, although heavy millions were spent, patients faced a lack of medication, therapy and treatment appointments, opposition party VMRO-DPMNE accuses in a press release on Thursday.
