At a session Thursday, the Council of Public Prosecutors unanimously voted in favor of dismissing the former head of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption, VilmaRuskovska, from her role as public prosecutor.
In order to protect the reputation and integrity of the public prosecutors against which the procedure was led, the discussion of the item was done behind closed doors, while the vote was public. The Council unanimously rejected Ruskovska’s appeal over her dismissal as “unfounded”, and proceeded to unanimously adopt the proposal of the Disciplinary Committee for her dismissal.
The Council also made a decision to reduce the salary of public prosecutor IvanaTrajcheva by 30 percent for six months.
