Prosecutor’s Office demands detention of three people arrested for Vanja’s disappearance

The public prosecutor submitted to the Skopje Basic Criminal Court a proposal for determining a 48-hour detention for three of the five people arrested on Friday in connection with the disappearance of 14-year-old Vanja, in order to ensure their presence until the case is completely solved.

As announced by the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO), actions are being taken throughout the day to secure evidence.

“The Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Interior will inform the public as soon as conditions are created that will not disrupt the investigation. All speculations that aim to compromise the investigation at this moment will be severely sanctioned,” reads the PPO’s press release.

The Ministry of Interior informs that the Skopje Police Department is intensively working to clear up the case, after which they will inform the general public accordingly.
