Parliamentary political parties have reached an agreement to hold the first round of the presidential elections on April 24, followed by the presidential runoff and the parliamentary elections on May 8, said Prime Minister and SDSM leader DimitarKovachevski on Monday.
“We agreed on these dates keeping in mind the legal deadlines and religious holidays that are in this period. Finally, after 17 years, we will have regular parliamentary elections, and that speaks of the good government policies,” Kovachevski said.
The PM said that 100 days before elections or on January 28, a caretaker government will be formed and the prime minister will be from the ranks of DUI.
