Bekteshi: Price freeze measure will be extended if necessary


The measures give their results in the part of preserving the standard of living. In the event that a certain measure is abused, we will not only extend it, but also strengthen the inspection capacities, Macedonian Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi said at a press conference.

The minister emphasized that if there was a need, the measure to freeze the prices of food products would be extended after January 1. That, as he said, will depend on the analyzes that the Ministry of Economy will make by the end of the year.

Asked why a large aid set was needed for the citizens just a few months before the elections, Bekteshi said that the measures were announced since the beginning of the year and were not measures that the citizens did not expect.
